Students at the Roper Center play important roles in data management, data cleaning, data entry, file format migration, administration, translation, and other essential work in the archive. Student staff for spring 2017 include:
Jeremy is a junior at Cornell, where he is studying Communication with minors in Business and Education. He has been with the Roper Center since it moved to Cornell in October 2015, and works primarily with iPOLL and the Latin American Databank.
Dan is currently studying Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University. In my spare time he enjoys running and being outside.
Shiloh is a sophomore majoring in Hotel Administration at Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business, additionally minoring in Architecture and Real Estate. She is a member of Cornell Real Estate Club and wishes to become a hotel developer in the future.
Rohit is a Sophomore studying Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University. He began working at the Roper Center a year ago as a Freshman, and deals with iPoll data entry and proofing.
Jack is a junior in the College of Human Ecology studying Policy Analysis and Management. Additionally, he is the president of the Cornell Roosevelt Institute and the Cornell Federal Reserve Challenge Club.
Chasen Richards is a sophomore majoring in Government and Economics. He likes politics, free plane tickets and the Dallas Cowboys.
Carlos Saz is a freshman at Cornell University pursuing a major in Global and Public Health Sciences. He was born and lived in El Salvador, Central America, before immigrating to the United States at eight years old. This experience influenced his interest of pursuing a medical career path that reaches not only to those domestically, but also those abroad.
Evelyn is a sophomore studying Government and History, with a minor in Education. On campus, she is also involved in Chinese Bible Study, AIESEC Cornell, and International Justice Mission.
Daye Shin is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences majoring in Information Science and minoring in Business and Communication. She is interested in User Experience Design and Marketing with a focus in the Media and Entertainment industry.
