The Roper Center for Public Opinion Research invites paper proposals for a panel featuring underutilized data from the archive for next year’s Social Science History Association Conference, to be held in Chicago November 17th–20th, 2022 (virtual/in-person hybrid).
Roper Center has a large collection of unconverted early data and will assist interested researchers with the process of conversion. Examples of some qualifying data collections in the archive can be found on the Roper website; interested researchers may also contact Roper Center data services or data archivist Kathleen Weldon directly at kjw93@cornell.edu to determine what additional data might be available.
The panel seeks to highlight innovative uses of the archive and the ways that public opinion data can shed light on a range of historical issues.
Please submit your proposal by 2/9/2022.
