On the fifty-year anniversary of the protest that was instrumental in passing the Voting Rights Act, Pew Research Center Founding Director and Mitofsky Award winner Andrew Kohut used Roper Center data to review public opinion at the time of the Selma march and found a nation supportive of the protestors, but still unsure about the implementation of their goals.
