Immigration Data: America's Views of Immigration in 2015

November 30, 2016

Examine America's views on immigration in recent public opinion polls from ABC News/Washington Post, CBS News, and CNN/ORC. These three surveys contribute important data on public opinion about one of the country's most divisive issues. The CBS News dataset, from a survey conducted January 9-12, 2015, focuses on questions about illegal immigration and work permit allowances for immigrants already in the U.S. In the CNN/ORC Poll, fielded November 27-December 1, 2015, respondents were asked about their policy preferences for dealing with illegal immigration. The ABC News/Washington Post Poll conducted July 16-19, 2015 asked about U.S. citizenship pathways for undocumented immigrants and perspectives on undocumented immigrants overall. Want more data on the immigration debate? There are more than 8,000 questions about immigration in iPoll, starting in 1937, and more than 2,000 datasets on immigration in the archive.
