NADDI 2017

February 28, 2017

Roper Center is proud to co-host the NADDI (North American Data Documentation Initiative) 2017 Conference at Cornell University. Researchers, data archivists, and other data professionals are encouraged to attend to learn more about the use of DDI and other metadata standards within research projects, survey operations, academic libraries, and data archives to facilitate data discovery and data integration.

The Data Documentation Initiative (DDI) is an open metadata standard for describing data and data collection activities. DDI’s principal goal is making research metadata machine-actionable. The specification can document and manage across the entire data lifecycle, from conception to archiving and reuse. Roper Center has adopted the DDI standard as part of its commitment to best practices in data archiving.
