PDK International

The PDK Poll of the Public’s Attitudes Toward the Public Schools has been a trusted and independent source of information since it began in 1969. Families, education professionals, policy makers, and researchers rely on this highly respected poll to discern public opinion on key education issues. PDK’s partner in producing the 2016 poll was Langer Research Associates of New York, NY. From 1969 through 2015, PDK partnered with Gallup to produce the annual poll.

The poll occurs each May, with the initial report published in the September issue of Kappan magazine. It is financed solely by the PDK Educational Foundation, which permits PDK to offer an independent and unbiased report of American public opinion.

PDK International is now a Roper Center data provider.

PDK International's yearly education poll has been an essential resource for information about public attitudes toward public schools for nearly a half-century. The Roper Center is proud to announce that PDK International has become a Roper data provider, and the 2016 poll is now available to our users. In addition to the most recent poll, the Roper archive also contains several historical polls from this series.
