Advances in medical care offer hope of a long and healthy life for most Americans, but many lack faith in the health care system. Eighty-nine percent believe the system needs either fundamental changes or a complete overhaul. Also, poorly designed questions can create the illusion of an informed public, and the data doesn't support the theory of a drastic decline in the number of people who view the Bible as the actual word of God to be taken literally.
